I designed Job Costing because it was apparent that builders spend too much of their time and energy keeping track of receipts, learning software and going to their accountant's office, and too little time reviewing what happened on a job so future bids are more accurate and profitable. Also, simple tasks like backing up data happen too infrequently or not at all.
